Day Six: Off

Hooray for a day off (two, actually, because we have tomorrow off as well). Some of the "family" wanted to go downtown/do bike rides all over the place, so Chris drove them into Anchorage and dropped them off. I tagged along because what the heck else was I supposed to do? The other half of the "family" had gone to a local shooting range, so there were only a handful of people left at the house. Answer: nothing.

The weird brownish/white stuff is a mud flat or something like that. I don't really remember what Chris called it...but past the whatever it is, is water. Ocean? Not sure. Wow. Looks like I don't know much.

Oh lookithat. An old train engine. Yee-haw.

Due to the fact that I was feeling completely and utterly USELESS (and that I was getting increasingly annoyed at the state of the fridge), I decided to clean out and re-arrange the contents of the fridge at the house. Look at it now, so organized and pretty and stuff. It didn't last long. -_-

Did the same with the silverware. Blame the OCD. Thanks for nothing, you useless disorder.

I'm feeling rather depressed today... People here haven't really been talking to me much (they'll talk if I initiate the conversation, but then I feel like I'm being annoying by always being the first to talk) and that has been very discouraging. -sigh- Oh well. Sunday morning we leave for Camp K down on Kenai Lake and we'll be there til Tuesday. Not that I'm expecting different treatment, but it'll be a nice change of scenery.

I hope I sleep well tonight. Busy day ahead of me tomorrow. At least, that's the plan.
