Day Three: Training

I'm starting to miss home.
I have been missing home since I waved goodbye to my Mama, Nana, and Papa at the OKC airport.

Today was the first day since we have been here that the skies were clear enough to see the tippity tops of the mountains. WOW THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!! I just wanted to say "LOOK WHAT GOD HAS MADE!! LOOK WHAT HE HAS GIVEN TO US SO THAT WE MAY KNOW HOW WONDERFUL HE IS!!" But...there don't seem to be very many religious people...let alone Christians. I know for sure that there is myself, Chris, Brandon, and Teri (I believe), and Joe is Catholic, but the others...I don't really know. Judging by their language and just random conversations I've had with them (I know, I know, judge not least ye be judged BUT still), I'd say not many of them are Christians. I really hope I'm wrong (because I know Christians don't always act the way they are supposed to act from personal experience).

ANYWAYS.

We spent the morning at the offices listening to Father Oleksa (a priest who has been living in Alaskan villages for like 42 years) speak about the cultures and communicationstuff of the Alaskan people.

THEN WE WENT AND PLAYED OUTSIDE! :D

We played several "team-building" games that frustrated me but they were also very fun. As of right now, my voice is mostly shot so a majority of the games didn't work out very well for me because I couldn't speak clearly or loudly, which caused a great deal of confusion.

After a shower and dinner of tacos (or in my case, a taco salad because I didn't like the tortillas), I am sitting in bed all doped up on Benydrill and Acetametaphin trying to battle whatever is wrong with my throat/head/body thing.

It's 8:30pm here. And I'm going to try and watch a movie before I go to bed.
